My Story

Doing off-ice jumps can be tricky – I know!

I used to try to jump off ice and couldn’t get them to feel the same. Trying to do three turns in shoes or rotating all off-axis! I remember feeling like it wasn’t possible and had no benefit, so i didn’t really bother.

When I started coaching, I knew there must be a better way – I wanted my skaters to learn correctly so they could improve without ice time! I studied with some of the best coaches in the world over zoom in person and obtained an official British Ice Skating off-ice qualification to teach these jumps. 

After years and many hours of teaching these in person weekly to my skaters I filtered out the best exercises and techniques that gave results! Better landings, higher jumps, faster rotation, and the best entries and theories for each jump. 

Working these lessons with skaters over 25 years, we refined it to work in 6 weeks. It was just enough for them to learn it and get to work. After that, the benefits are real and noticeable! What’s better is that it’s applied to ALL jumps from here onward.
